---

The William Jefferson Clinton Presidential Library was dedicated November 18, 2004. The ceremony was attended by about 30,000 people including President Bush and former presidents Carter and Bush.

The $165 million glass and steel structure was designed to have the appearance of a bridge. The library is partitioned into 14 alcoves. One is dedicated to scandal and impeachment. The library will also serve as the home for a graduate school of public service and two foundations, one is dedicated to improving ethnic/racial relations and the other to battling AIDS on a world wide basis. Mr. Clinton stays in the library’s penthouse one week a month to attend to foundation work. The library also serves a museum, historical archive and “part infotainment center.” It contains the largest collection of documents and artifacts of any presidential library. 80 million pages of documents, 80,000 artifacts, and 2 million photographs are held in the library. The Clinton administration also produced 23 million electronic documents that are also part of the collection. Some of Mr. Clinton's Elvis memorabilia are on display in the museum. A $7.00 admission fee is required.
